The first step to securing your dream job is straightening out your CV! It’s the first impression you get to make with your future employer, so it’s important it leaves a lasting impression.
It’s vital you update your CV before applying for any jobs as an outdated CV can come across as lazy and will leave a poor impression on the employer. Before rushing head first in to your job search, take the time to add any new qualifications, skills and awards to your CV.
A CV should be easy to read and clearly laid out. Don’t expect the hiring manager to take time deciphering yours, they’ll have a stack of applications all vying for their time.
Lastly, every job has a different set of requirements, so tailor your CV to each role by removing irrelevant information for each position you apply for. You want to make it as easy as possible for the employer to find the info they’re looking for!
